Nateby
Nateby is a small village on the crossroads of the road to Mallerstang, Wensleydale and Hawes and the road to Keld and Swaledale.
The village once had a primary school, general store, pub, chapel and garage.
Today the pub, garage and Methodist Chapel are still in use. There is a beck that runs through the village which is very pretty in summer with Monkey Musk growing in the stream. A short walk across Nateby Park, once part of an extensive deer park belonging to Lord Wharton with a seven foot wall, leads you to Wharton Hall.
