5th – Fell Pony Society Breed Show, Dalemain

5th,7th,9th 12th 19th 26th –  Stainmore Railway at KirkbyStephen East Station will be open to the public (Diesel and Steam) will be operating depending on the day. A warm welcome awaits at their atmospheric Station  which first opened in 1861.

9th – Go Wild! about wildlife with the people from the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Franks Bridge, Kirkby Stephen, CA17 4AB. Free drop-in activities for accompanied 5-12 years. 11am to 3pm

9th – Appleby Agricultural Show

9th – Cumbria Wildlife Trust at Smardale Gill Nature Reserve. Butterflies and Wildlife management . 10am – 3pm. The walk is around 6km. Free.

11th &12th -  Lowther Show

11th – Orton Farmers Market, 9am – 2pm

14th – Dry Stonewalling Demonstration at the Dales Countryside Museum, Hawes, DLB 3NT, 11am to 3pm.

16th – Brough Agricultural Show, the Show Field, Popping Lane, Kaber, Kirkby Stephen, CA17 4EF

18th Ravenstonedale Agricultural Show, High Lane Farm, Newbiggin-on-Lune.

19th – Classic Car Show, Dalemain

25th – Sedbergh Artisan Market, 9:30 – 3pm

25th – Wensleydale  Agricultural Show, Showground, Nr Leyburn, DLG 5JG.

25th – Dufton Agricultural Show

26th – Footsteps of Ella Pontefract Guided Walk, The Keld Resource Centre, Keld, DL11 6LJ. A 5 mile guided walk. Dogs on Leads welcome. Adult £5, children free, 11am to 3:30pm.

27th – Reeth Show

26th – Winton Park Gardens, Appleby Road, KirkbyStephen, CA17 4PG will be open to the public from 11am to 5pm. Adults £6 and Children free. Light Refreshments.

29th – Amanda Owen the Yorkshire Shepherdess will be giving a talk about life looking after 1,000 sheep and  being mother of 9 children. St Margaret’s Church, Hawes, DL8 3QL at 8pm – 9:30pm. T: 01969 666849
